newbridge chamber choir

We are an SATB choir  with a current membership of eleven singers.

We sing a repertoire of mainly
'a cappella'  secular and sacred music in a wide range of styles from medieval to contemporary.

Formed in 2008 by Fr. Thomas McCarthy O.P. , Newbridge Chamber Choir has provided a platform for choristers who wish to sing challenging and interesting repertoire. Choir members do some work of their own between rehearsals which enables us to rehearse productively on a fortnightly basis and ensures good attendance at rehearsals.

As we have the good fortune to rehearse in the Dominican Church of St. Eustace, Newbridge, we also get to perform our sacred repertoire there at a Saturday evening Mass once a month.
[Please check the 'events' page]

We also perform by invitation at various local secular and religious events.

Our musical director is John Francis Murphy.
